Description:
The Brocade 1860 is all about flexibility and multiple functions. Coming in both single- and dual-port configurations, this groundbreaking adapter is the answer to the unique requirements of virtualization and cloud-enabled data centers. In one high-performance product, the Brocade 1860 joins together a 16 Gbps Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter and a 10 Gigabit Ethernet Convcrged Network Adapter and Network Interface Card, able to run native Fibre Channel, Data Center Bridging (DCB), Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoeE), and Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI). With the ability to employ VMware NetQueue, Microsoft VMQ, and other hypervisor multi-queue technologies, the Brocade 1860 is well-equipped to handle the special realities of virtualization, streamlining the function of the CPU as the adapter assumes some of the workload of the hypervisor. Brocade virtual Fabric Link technology enables the Brocade 1860 to function within a virtual-HBA or virtual-NIC framework, while the PCI-SIG SR-IOV specification renders support of up to 255 virtual fabric links. Meanwhile, Brocade Server Application Optimization technology expands fabric services to servers and applications. A Command Line Interface, the Brocade Host Connectivity Manager, and other aspects of the Brocade 1860 management stack make for powerful and unified oversight and monitoring.
